Dirk Hund, born in 1960, studied at Lette-Verein in Berlin and later at Dortmund University of Applied Science with Prof. Ulrich Mack. Being photo journalist in the 90ies his pictures were published also in international magazines like MERIAN, GEO, STERN and NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC/TRAVELLER. He also worked over a decade for brand companies like ARAL, BENETTON Sport Systems, HENKEL Thomsit, LUFTHANSA, PROTECTOR-FONDERMANN, STO, SVEDEX-HIAG and ZEPTER. His emphasis today is still the photo documentary art work. Beside his commercial photography he made portraits of artists and personalities mostly of the art scene. Dirk Hund was awarded 1985 at „Focus on photo journalism“ in NYC. In 2002 he was the officially hired photographer to take pictures of Bill Clinton’s visit in Amerikahaus. Since 2004 he is lecturer in photography, actually in Munich in Staedtische Fotografen-Meisterschule, organizing european mobility projects for students and chairman of the jury of an international photo competition in Budapest. He is also lecturer in ADBK Akademie der Bildenden Kuenste/ Fotowerkstatt Prof. Dieter Rehm.
